The Hind Family, October 1942.

John was in the Army, Anne was a nurse.

On the left Rosemary, we met in 2016 and she gave us a lot of information.

Peter's father, Captain Hugh William Hind was a brave man as can be seen in the photo on the left. In the Great War he was in Gallipoli, Egypt and Palestine. And even in India.

He was awarded a DSO.

The feared telegram, dated December 22, 1942.

During and after the Second World War, it took a long time before the family got information, see letters dated December 1944 and April 1947.

In September 2016 we visited Rosemary and Diana. They provided us with a lot of information.

Many thanks for that!!

Peter Hind is buried at the Rusthof Cemetery, Leusden, and is commemorated at the memorial in Elst UT.
